The opening was clouded a bit by news from London that Scotland yard was seeking the cancellation of gaming licenses at four London casinos, three of them Playboy clubs.
A spokesman said the Metropolitan Police had lodged written objections with the Gaming Board to the renewals of licenses for clubs.

During the first two days of tests, gamblers can use play money at 81 table games and real money in 745 slot machines between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m. On Sunday and Monday, low-limit betting will be permitted.
If the test period, which is designed to give state gaming regulators an opportunity to evaluate the performance of casino employees, goes well, the Playboy could open for business Tuesday or Wednesday.
The commission granted Playboy-Elsinore Associates a nine-month temporary gaming permit April 3 after four top Playboy executives agreed to step aside while a British investigation into the company's London casinos continued.
The executives will be allowed to return to their posts if authorities do not object to a renewal of Playboy's London gambling licenses later this month.
On Wednesday, the commission approved Playboy's request for a certificate of operation, subject to the issuance of a city occupancy permit and successful completion of the trial gambling period.
